Those lovely Old days...

Childhood faded away,
to a far away land,
simple, so simple were we,
Days of Play,
Going our Way,
Having fun, no care,
for another day,
time for us stood still,
playing king of the hill

Childhood Faded away
thinking of another day,
summer time was fine,
when friends were kind,
swiming holes were filled,
our hearts were thrilled
to a time that makes me sway

many years have passed away,
since childhood faded to another day,

Childhood Faded to places,
UNKNOWN TO US
floating somewhere in time.

The Story of My Shadow

"Follow a shadow,it still flies you,
Seem to fly it,it will pursue"

So you think that I am of no account and have nothing to say! Well I must tell you that you are very much mistaken. Do u see my miss standing here and dreaming about the world around her? Well m just as old as she and just as important. What's more, she cannot go anywhere without me. Can you imagine what she is
dreaming now? Well, I guess I can :P

If life is a shadow, shadow is life, isn't it? and life is surely the most precious thing you know.

Yes, I could tell you many things about your friend from her earliest days when she could neither walk or talk. I was very small myself then. We, that is your friend and I,did not know each other very well. But many times her nurse used to set on her lap between the lamp and the wall and made her throw her arms about, and then I would come and dance on the wall for her and make such funny shapes that she would laugh and clap her hands with delight.

When she grew up and could run about, we used to chase each other in garden. When the sun went down,  I used to get lengthened. I used to stretch out infront of her like a goblin, then she would try to run and jump on my head, but I always jumped out of her way :P ;) Sometimes she would sit down and cry dissapointed. but when she stopped and looked up, she could see me there beside her, quite small and friendly. Then she would dry up her tears.

I went long walks with her. We go near the river side dyke , we sit together on the stones and gaze at the gleaming sunshine on the river, stare at birds, sky, moon, stars, mountain, dam, tree, flowers and.. ohh  how can I forget about people :P  We danced with each other. And she was so delighted with my movement that she interpreted it as a good omen of a high situation.

When she left home to go to college, her parents and well-wishers were at the railway station to bid her good bye. They spoke many kind things to her. Just as the train began to move, one of her relatives shouted,"May your shadow never grow less." They all laughed at this remarked. but I felt very happy because at this moment of parting from her, they had not forgotten me and had tried to give me due recognisation as her constant companion.

I have been a very faithful companion. When she sits reading at night by lamplight, I take up my position on the wall and watch her as she wrestles with her difficulties and problems.  In dark, we are one. When the moon climbs up in the blue sky, you can see how near I am to her. And the best part is that our intimate anonymous relationship doesn't have a name neither depend on place. I am just beside her, within her, or just  I am her :)
